Data Collection & Program Evaluation Framework
- Client: The Heinz Endowments
- Project Role:Project Manager
- Project Duration:Jun 2009 - Jun 2011
Mr. Weidemann assisted several afterschool providers on Pittsburgh’s north side in building increased capacity for data collection and evaluation of student-related program outcomes. Afterschool organizations involved with the project included Schenley Heights Community Development, The Pittsburgh Project, Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, Family Resources/BJWL & Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Hope Academy of Music and the Arts, and Bethany House Academy. Mr. Weidemann’s work has resulted in a reusable framework that has been implemented by other afterschool programs that seek to move from low-levels of capability, to data-driven program models. The framework defines a common set of outcomes and indicators for youth development, a toolkit of data collection methods, and customized tools to assist organizations with tracking and analyzing outcome-related data.
