In a multi-year effort to streamline and update the information systems, business processes, and state oversight processes involved in the management of the state’s subsidized child care program, DPW underwent an organization-wide restructuring process, adding thousands of additional welfare child care cases to the previous subsidy caseload of the Office of Child Development (OCD). Mr. Weidemann developed a change management plan that was used to determine transition timelines, training requirements, potential issues and challenges, and mitigation strategies, as well as develop a comprehensive communications plan to support the organization-wide change process through regular, audience-specific communications channels.
